Rina is an ASID (American Society of Interior Design) certified interior designer who holds a Bachelor of Science degree from one of the strongest interior design programs in the area, The University of Bridgeport. Unlike many others, Rina is a designer who knew her intended career path from a very young age. As a teenager she was constantly redesigning her bedroom; repainting, rearranging, and even stapling bed sheets to her walls as if to upholster them-a make-shift version of what she does now.

Rina isn't your regular one-stop designer, she does it all. After graduating with Cum Laude status in 1987, she hopped right into the design world working for the highly renowned Barbara Ostrom. Just three years later she ventured on her own, opening a well-respected firm, Higher Limit Design, Inc. Which coincided with her retail showroom Rina's Armoire.

No project is too big for her because her knowledge goes beyond the creative. She regularly collaborates with builders and architects to ensure any project she's on comes together seamlessly.

This kitchen remodel by RCQ Design defines what it means for the kitchen to be the "heart of the home.".
The clients were soon-to-be empty nesters and wanted a fresh kitchen that catered to their new routine, but also allowed flexibility for the times when their kids came home.
This kitchen remodel project was all about creating the perfect "heart of the home" specific to the clients.
They host many family holidays and parties, so having a kitchen that could accommodate large gatherings was important.
The clients were looking for a comfortable size master bathroom that felt spacious & had all the fundamental elements a luxury master bathroom requires.
This space was part of a new construction project meaning there were no pre-existing space restrictions.
A custom master bathroom layout was drawn out and specifically designed to fit the elements expressed by the homeowners.
The client was interviewed and asked to provide in detail what they wanted in the master bathroom along with any notion of colors or materials they were considering.
The goal for this project was to update a very traditional, stuffy living room and create a more modern living space perfect for everyday living and entertaining.
This job was a complete living room remodel and needed a bit of everything from the design team.
The scope included flooring, wall detailing, lighting, reupholstery, and custom living room furniture & window treatments.
More specifically, the wood floors were refinished, and new area rugs were chosen for the space.
Custom trim and millwork was added to enhance the essence of the room.
To review proposed architectural plans for a renovation/addition and follow through on them so that the home would suit the clients' lifestyle/wants and needs for their mountain house.
This was a large scale renovation and addition.
The entire house was updated except for the kitchen and bathrooms because they were previously renovated by RCQ a few years prior.
During this second renovation, the heating system was updated, existing drainage issues were improved, and all different tradesmen were brought on the job (electrician, plumber, masons, framers, etc) to fully bring the house up to date.
The goal was to create an interior that had great energy and brought a warm & peaceful essence to the room.
It had to immediately invoke the culture of India.
It needed to be harmonious and a place where one could immediately relax and feel a sense of well-being.
We had to take an outdated commercial office space and convert it to a yoga studio specific to the practice of Kundalini yoga.
The sought-after interior aesthetic was a studio that was inspired by the culture of India and included intricate, but also zen decor.
