I have been in the tree care industry since 1983. I worked for various private companies as a ground man and tree trimmer before getting a job in 1985 with the City of Los Angeles. I Started as a Tree Surgeon, then promoted to Supervisor 1. I also held various titles such as; Inspector, Assistant Safety coordinator, Assistant Claims Supervisor and Alternative Sentencing Coordinator.
I studied for and passed the grueling test that gave me the title of Certified Arborist. After several years on the job, I was promoted to a Supervisor 2 position. I was responsible for running a facility that maintained approximately 160,000 trees throughout the City of Los Angeles.
