Katy Plantations Handcrafted Shutters was established when owner Rick Sukolicks discovered his passion for building handcrafted shutters for family and friends.
During a vacation in Burton, Ga., Rick admired the shutters he saw in the cabin he was staying in, but felt he could build a better product.
Once home, Rick spent the next six months building his first handcrafted panel.
Rick started out building the handcrafted shutters out of his garage just for family and friends, yet over time he had created such a reputation for quality products and customer service the operation needed to be moved to a larger space.
