We had dealt with DIY Shutters before with less than positive results but that has changed thanks to new ownership and operation. They bent over backwards to meet our needs and remained in contact throughout the process. The quality and pricing of their shutters is excellent and I would recommend them to anyone needing shutters as in my opinion, they cannot be beat for overall service.
I got my shutter kit together and the entire shutter is amazing! I'm really happy with the product quality and as long as I can successfully mount this for my window we will be placing additional orders. First we want to commend you for all you did to accommodate us during and after our Shutters purchase. You were great to fix mistakes quickly and give advice and help when needed.
All in all we are very pleased, and have had many compliments. All our shutters are built from high quality basswood or poplar for longer life and premium build. Every hinge, magnet, screw, pin, etc. that you need to assemble and install your shutters is included.

Services
All our DIY Shutter Kits are custom built just for your windows.
All you need to do is measure your window opening's Width and Height.
We recommend measure the Width in 3 places (Top, Middle, Bottom) as well as the Height in 3 places (Left, Middle, Right) in case you window or drywall is a little out of square (most are) and give us the smallest of those 3 numbers.
All our DIY Shutter Kits are made from 100% Hardwood.
We only use the best products and top quality craftsmanship to make our shutters; Poplar or Basswood.

We recommend using your standard enamel spray paint found at any home improvement store (We never recommend the very cheapest paint).
Here we are using a Rustoleum 2x.
The key to any aerosol painting project is to keep the nozzle around 6-8 from your shutter and to do several light even coats.
If you do get a little aggressive and get drips don't try and wipe them off, this will make a bigger mess.
Let them dry and sand them with 300 grit sand paper and then repaint.
It's now easy to build your own shutters.
