Owner/designer Steve Rodgers and owner Mark Mullis worked their creative magic from the very beginning by relocating a circa 1912 house from historic Woodbine to its current Kingsland location in which to house the shop. This charming house-turned-shop was the perfect setting for The Southern Charmer's original plan to feature antiques.
As time passed and their customers' needs changed, The Southern Charmer evolved into the business it is today with the goal of offering the latest and best in home furnishings and accessories, gifts, and complete design services.Working closely over the years with their shop customers and design clients has earned them respect, recognition and many various awards.
The Southern Charmer has repeatedly won "The Best of Camden County" award for interior design and gift shop. In addition, they have decorated award-winning model homes, been featured in several publications, entertained clients from coast to coast, and won the 2006 Jacksonville Symphony Showcase "People's Choice Award" for their contemporary master bedroom/bathroom and sleeping porch in the Saxleby Model.
