We sought the merger to provide Haywood Realtors with more professional development and educational opportunities through Canopy Real Estate Institute as well as to have a greater impact on housing issues in Haywood through Canopy Housing Foundation. Canopy MLS started operating and serving as the wholesale vendor to then N.C. Mountains MLS (NCMMLS), providing core services as well as training to more than 3,000 subscribers in Haywood, Buncombe and Henderson counties.
In 2018, Canopy MLS acquired NCMMLS. Impressed with the expertise and professionalism of Canopy MLS, we looked into other Canopy entities and found the same deep well of service and commitment to both Realtors and their communities. We had planned to start our own Haywood housing foundation, but the money we saved by not reinventing the wheel and drawing on the skill of the Canopy Housing Foundation directly benefits Haywood County by providing more funds to the community.

We consider these folks our "partners" in the real estate business and appreciate their interest in and support of our activities and industry.
We welcome Affiliate members to our Western Region bi-monthly luncheon meetings, which are held the second Tuesday of that month at the Wells Event Center.
With approximately 70 members in attendance, this provides an excellent opportunity to connect with our Realtors and share information about your business with them.
