AR Home Interiors offers a full range of interior design services to assist you in the personalization of your home. Our studio is located in the historic Old Cotton Warehouse in downtown Greeenville. We serve as the selection studio for AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, a custom home builder in the Upstate of SC and Asheville, NC. For customers building with AR Homes, we guide them through a 2-3 day design sessions in which they make all of the finish selections for their new home.
For customers not building with AR Homes, we can assist in the design, product specification, and implementation of home renovation projects for your existing home. In addition to these services, we offer turn key interior design to all customers. Our design professionals can create detailed drawings to demonstrate furniture placement and mood boards with images, fabrics, and samples in order to help you envision each space within your home.
If you are looking to add color, texture or comfort within a space, our studio carries a full spectrum library of textiles for customized draperies and bedding.

Kirsten Gilliam is originally from Greensboro, NC and attended UNC Chapel Hill.
Shortly after graduating, she moved to Charleston, SC and began her career in design.
There she worked for 2 different boutique interior design firms where she was involved in projects ranging from historical downtown Charleston residences to mountain getaway homes in the Cashiers, NC area.
She then spent several years as the buyer and interior designer for a high-end furniture and gift store.
During that time, she learned the ins and out of the retail side of things, all while continuing to expand her design portfolio.

For home renovation projects, we start with an initial consult to discuss the overall scope of your project and to walk you through the types of updates that can be made to your home.
Whether the focus is on interior or exterior changes that can be made to your home such as new flooring, paint, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, hardware, tile, or more construction heavy renovations.
We will help you re-design your spaces using our extensive selection of products in our showroom.
Once new selections have been finalized, we also implement the updates into your home.

For customers building with AR Homes, the process typically takes 2-3 days for the entire home and is called a "color session".
We always begin with the exterior of your home.
After reviewing your elevations, we will guide you through the coordination of components pertinent to your plans such as roofing materials, stone, brick, paint, stains, and stucco.
We will then move into the interior of your home and typically begin in the heart of you home, the kitchen.
Once the kitchen is complete, we will work through the entire home addressing bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry room, wet bar, fireplace, etc.
