Canopy Care Aesthetic Pruning
Canopy Care is the aesthetic pruning practice of Andrew Tysinger in the San Francisco Bay Area. Aesthetic Pruning is the pruning of landscape fruit and ornamental trees and bushes with horticultural intelligence and bonsai elements, enhancing their long-term health and beauty. Because it is a collaboration with the plant rather than an artificial shaping, they have a positive reaction- being more productive and living longer.

It combines the artistic skill of the pruner, the essence and health of a tree, the science of horticulture, and needs of clients and surroundings. If you have a garden that you'd like to look great, fit its surroundings, and be more healthy and productive, talk with Andrew and arrange for a free consult. The first Aesthetic Pruning program in the united states was pioneered by bonsai master Dennis Makishima at Merritt College in Oakland.

The first class was a bonsai basics class taught in 1986. His students expressed an interest in the pruning of small landscape trees using bonsai techniques.
Services
We would highly recommend Canopy Care for your tree pruning needs.
Andrew responded promptly to our inquiry about young pepper trees that needed attention after the winter rains.
He arrived on time and provided solid advice regarding treatment and pruning.
Within a few days he was back with the proper amendments and pruned the trees so well that they looked much healthier immediately.
They have continued to respond with vigorous new growth and are shaped nicely.
He took the time to answer all our questions and was willing to educate us on continued care to promote the healthiest trees.
