David and Susan Meakem have spent 50% of their lives selling window treatments and retractable awnings.
They both were raised in Sayreville N.J., met in High School and married in 1981.
Susan graduated from Wagner College with a BS in chemistry and worked in Nuclear Medicine for 10 years.
Dave attended Middlesex County College and worked as an electrician for 10 years.
Susan's dad was a successful building contractor while Dave's dad was a commercial painting contractor.
This taught us a great deal about the values, opportunities and responsibilities of running a business.
