Southern Crafted Shutters
We specialize in making exterior shutters that enhance your home for years to come. Each shutter is tailored to our client's specification of size, style and finish. Whether you would like shutters for function or fashion, we will put our heart and soul into bringing your design to life. Our clients appreciate the care we take with our handcrafted work.

We first determine the design and dimensions of your shutters. Once we have the sizes, one of our designers creates a CAD drawing and gives it to a member of our production and assembly team. If your shutters are made from Everwood, our CNC operator will get to work creating your shutters. One of our finishing technicians will run your shutters through our belt sander before hand sanding them to make sure they are ready for paint.

If your shutters are made from aluminum, our production team will start with cutting the appropriate pieces to length, based on the CAD drawings, on our special upcut saw. Then they will debur all the edges to make sure they are smooth before putting all the pieces together by hand.
Services
Southern Crafted is a family business started by husband and wife team Adam Jankowski and Kristin Meyer.
In 2015, I was living in a really cool loft in Greenville, SC.
The building had been a textile mill originally and throughout the building were remnants of its history.
Included in the architecture were amazing sliding doors in the hallways made of metal and fixed in an open position.
A number of condo owners used the hallway door for inspiration and created barn doors for their closets.
I'd always wanted one, but had no idea where to get one.
Let Southern Crafted Shutters create a custom look for your home!
We offer multiple styles, finishes, and mounting types guaranteed to add that WOW factor to homes just like yours!
Most people focus on the aesthetics of shutters, however sometimes people prefer them to function.
When you have a double window, this can be a challenge, because if the shutters were the size of the windows, they'd look too big.
The answer to this dilemma is to have bifold shutters like those in the video to the right.
When there are so many different options, it can be challenging to pick just one style of shutter.
Lucky for you, there are combination options!
Do you want closed louvers up top and a raised panel on the bottom?
We can do that!
Would you prefer to add a custom cutout?
We can do that too!
We work with our clients to create the shutter that is just right for them.
If you like different parts of different shutters, just let us know and our design team can (most likely) combine them together to make your shutters unique to you and create the exact look you desire!
If you have a bank of 2 or 3 windows.
Measure one of the end windows and use those measurements to determine height and width for a single panel on each side of the bank.
Functional or Non-functional hinges can be used with this mounting method, but panels will be too big to actually close over the windows.
If you want to close the shutters over the windows, use the Historically Accurate Method to measure.
Because there could be variation, measure three locations - once near each side and once in the center - and use the smallest of the three measurements.
