We create spaces that allow our clients to have empowered productive lives & always be excited to come home. My interior design career started with a personal journey to renovate and adapt my first home. I needed my home to fit my accessibility needs but wanted my home to go beyond my chair and be as stylish as my personality. In 2009 I incurred a C6-C8 spinal cord injury and have been a wheelchair user ever since.
I am now diagnosed with an incomplete C8 spinal cord injury and experience paralysis in most of my body. My whole life including my living requirements changed overnight. As a person with a new disability, it seemed the majority of options to make my home accessible were straight up ugly and reminded me of being in a hospital. Combining my perspective of disability with my life-long passion for interior design fueled me to find creative ways to make spaces beautifully accessible.
In 2018 I started Blue Copper Design to elevate the world of adaptive design. When I am not waist deep in design you can find me binging on murder mystery shows, playing with my dogs Odin & Luna, and beating the Arizona heat in a pool with a spicy margarita.
